Alan Geaam restaurants: website conception

Alan Geaam, a Michelin-starred chef, wanted to rework the design of his websites to create a consistent look and feel both before and during the meal. This included 5 sites and the creation of an online ordering site for his new address, an exceptional Lebanese caterer.

The mission

Since time was of the essence, I relied on simple, easily reusable components with an effective UX. Then, the use of certain external tools such as the fork, whose add-on customization is extremely weak, restricted the design vision.

Before

In the old version of the site, customers didn't have access to the menus until they had reserved a table. This made it very difficult to find their way between the 4 restaurants.

After

In this new version, restaurants are accessible via cards in the main site, and customers can find menus presented in the same way, with visuals and different menu types highlighted.

Desktop version

In the desktop version, I had the opportunity to give more space to visuals, to show customers what exceptional dishes they could find in any of the chef's establishments.

In order to quickly inform customers about the opening times of the various restaurants, I chose to place a tag at the top of the page with the opening times, which changes from red to green depending on the state of opening.
